soooo close! haha, oh well. did anybody like the last episode of the 3-part grey's series? i thought that the first and second episodes were waaaay better than the third one. so was meredith in purgatory or something? and did the other people warp there from heaven? and what was up with bleeding-stomach-girl?

Although I haven't watched a full episode yet, I'd still want it. :) I love you girls! Special shout outs to the ones who sent me Valentine's. I just checked my mail. (I know.) Lovesit.

Ooooooo....can you spare one for a poor college girl. How cool is that an official magazine...but I'm a tad concern that it may become too commericialized? I hope not. Member back in the day when the had 90210/NKOTB beach towels and dish sets? A bit cheesy in my opinion. My hope is that they don't go that far...but an official magazine. Wow!

guess what i have in my hot little hands?! sorry it's not circle journal related...although it can be, i guess. i have the premiere issue of grey's anatomy, the official magazine! and i have two extra copies of it, so if you want it, be one of the first two to post (and not a comment but a post) here after me. :) if you are like me, and want instant gratification, you can find the mag at bookstores everywhere.

Meechy...I finally sent the journal this morning. I'm sooooooo sorry it took me forever. Hopefully it won't back you up too much. Enjoy :o) Can't wait to work on the next one.

i came home really late last night from work. if you read my blog, you know that i did two things once i got home. (1) use the potty & (2) watch me some grey's anatomy. oh, and cry watching grey's anatomy. so that's three things. sue me. i didn't have a chance to rummage through my mail. imagine my squeal of delight when as i was leaving for work this morning, my momma tells me that i have a parcel!

cristina michelle, i don't know what kind of feelings of inadequacy you were having. i LOVE your journal. i LOVE your theme. so much that i had to post it here before i could actually do any work at work. it's so cute. i hope it didn't feel like "work" as you were doing your pages.

i don't have time to work on it until sunday (saturday's chellebee's BIG day!), but i will have sunday and monday to finish it off and send it to kirs! but crissy, please keep them coming!

kirsten, look forward to a new journal in the coming week, k? i'll try to send it off as soon as i can.

i feel new surges of creativity! and i love it. but for now, i'll have to channel those vibes to put together a pretty program booklet for chellebee's big day!

i'm loving this proactive vibe! (not the "face cream" as one of my students thought was the definiton of the word, but the "taking initiative" attitude =P)

if i understand correctly, em (and shelby) would like to vote for sending out the journals on time, regardless of whether or not they are finished. i'm down for whatever the group wants, but my only concern is that some people will have journals that are incomplete. that would suck! but i see your point, em, and i totally agree. i have another suggestion...

i think that we should all do our very best to send out the journals on time (give or take a few days) in respect for the group as a whole. like i mentioned to cristina a few blogs ago, jotting down some thoughts and decorating it with a sticker or two should suffice! after all, these journals are supposed to reflect us. if we're too busy to go all out, then our pages will reflect the busyness of our lives at the moment. and that's totally cool. remember, it's not supposed to be hard. it's supposed to be therapeutic and thoughtful...it's supposed to help us release emotions in a creative way...it's supposed to be fun! find the joy in it, guys. search for it...it's there. (whether or not you think you're creative enough to do it.)

let's try and think about all the members in this circle of friends shit. (especially those that haven't been able to start yet! ;)) i don't want to see us die!!!

Hi all! Hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend. Anyway, I actually wanted to blog a suggestion in regards to the circle... and it's only a suggestion... I understand that the send out dates are scheduled for the end of each month, but why don't we just make it the absolute deadline for send outs regardless if the journal is finished or not. Did that make sense? So, theoretically, we should have the journal done and ready by the end of the month... however, things come up and sometimes journals are not done on time, which causes a block in the natural flow of the circling...(gosh-I'm having a hard time having coherent thoughts right now....) ... and unfortunately some people are ready to start working on their journal, but no journal is sent out to them. (wow--- today's blogging is not making much sense) anyhoo.... Am I making sense at all? I think sending the journals out at the end of each month, regardless of if it is finished or not will help keep the stress level down... that's all.

HAPPY belated VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!! Well, I go back to the land of employment tomorrow. I guess my week of pseudovacation flew by quicker than I thought it would. I got your journal, Dee! It's oh so cute. It has so many "teacher" qualities. Anyway, I haven't started on it yet because I am going to send it off late for the next round... on purpose. But hopefully I will get some "creative juices" flowing and I will start tonight.

if you're feeling overwhelmed because now you have three journals in your possession, just give us the rules for yours, and mark your pages off...we'll continue where you left off, and when you get your journal back in december, you can finish your pages...ok?

and regi, regarding my {chronicle one day} thing, it doesn't have to be a by the minute or hour thing, just chronicle your events throughout that day.

MARITES! i got the journal a couple days ago...soooo cute! i'm super excited to get started on it, too. gotta think about this one first, though, since there's so many things/people i love! thanks for sending! and, i agree, scrapbooking can be super expensive but it really doesn't have to be. colored paper and stickers would do just fine! i should really follow my own advice...

Thanks for the update Kirs...no worries. I TOTALLY understand. I'm super freakin busy myself. Plus Fran gave me the heads up to keep track the happenings of my life for the month. The only thing that I was a tad confused about was when she wanted us to document a whole day? Does that mean every hour?!?

MEECHY, don't be mad...but I haven't finished Kirs' journal either. Hopefully, I get some pardon this month for being late since I was the 1st journal out last month? But the theme is pretty easy..."Soundrack of My Life". So maybe you can start brainstorming. Anyway..I'll try to get it out soon.

Yes-yes, it is true. Today is my first day of unemployment...but it will be short lived, I start work again on Friday. Last night was my last shift as a bedside nurse.... and I am happy because I get to start a new aspect of nursing and I won't come home after 13-14 hours with throbbing/aching legs anymore.
Anyway, that means I have one whole week to work on the journals! I haven't yet received any to work on, but oh-how excited I am to get started.

i finally did it! i solidified my theme for my circle journal and am currently designing it! hurrah! i wanted to post my theme just so the "creative juices" (yes, ate, you're a quotable!) would start to flow. i hope it send it out to angie early next week. cross your fingers (i have palanca to complete this weekend too! yikes!) so anyway, without further here is my theme:

just as a side note. i'm really into stamps right now. i love stamps that have lines for journaling, and also stamps that have cool messages. but i HATE cleaning the stamps...it's annoying. anyway, you know what else i love right now? PAPER. lots of cool colors and designs. i love it.

i walked into the house after work yesterday and saw a priority mail box sitting on the couch. i excitedly asked my roommate, "Is that for me!? Is that for me?!" to which she replied, "Yes." so i ran over and ripped it open and out poured meechy's journal and all the scrapbook supplies francia donated to me.

thank you thank you thank you francia! it made my week!

unfortunately i'm leaving in about 1/2 hr for a 4-day retreat into the boonies of montana with the wildlife and snow. i say unfortunately because i won't be able to complete my journal or send it out this weekend :( I'MSORRYANGIE!) however, i will be thinking about it all weekend...

many prayers to request please... we're driving on dangerous roads and we anticipate an emotional weekend involving conflict resolution for our house. :/ i'll definitely be keeping you girls in my prayers! take care and happy weekend!
