has it really been two months since someone last posted in here?!
are dementors sucking the life & soul & creative thoughts from our cj project?!
i have to admit that i was kinda stuck in a rut with the creative thinking for a while there. and then life sorta took hold. and while those still in school find that summer gives them so much free time to do whatever they please, i've found that summer likes to make plans...and those plans have filled up my entire weekends...and some weeknights. leaving weekdays, which are taken by work. yuck. so i've got lots of ideas swirling around in my head--wish i had a pensieve to capture it all in (can you tell i'm on a harry potter high?!)--but now it's just finding time to do it.
which brings me to goals. perhaps we each need to set a goal for ourselves with each journal that makes its way into our hands. i currently hold two. one is halfway complete. the other one is still a string of thoughts. my goal is to finish one journal by this weekend. and if i'm lucky...both will be done. if i can't complete the second one, then i have through next week to do so.
the reward is the satisfaction of completing another entry in someone's cj and the feeling of accomplishment. okay, and a treat of ice cream. now there has to be a consequence if i don't finish. no ice cream for a month? (you know i live for ice cream!) or how about i treat everyone to an ice cream party at cold stone? is that fair?
so what will your goal, reward, & consequence be? because remember, our collective goal is to complete all the journals by december so we can have a big babysitters club of the traveling journals CHRISTmas party. who doesn't want to have one of those?!
